Went in for a routine car inspection. They told me I needed four new tires even though my car is less than two years old with ~20K miles on it. They then offered to change the tires for me (convenient...). I said I didn't think we needed new tires and didn't want them to change them for me. They gave me a restricted pass on the inspection and said I needed new tires before I could pass. One would think with semi decent reviews this shop would have been a success. WRONG. First experience went well, second and third service trips were awful. I was completely taken advantage of, fed false information and fooled. Haskins Automotive is nothing but a bunch of crooked mechanics. Slimy group of people to do business with.
I brought my car in for maintenance and service. The workers indicated it would take 1 week. It ended up taking 4 weeks and during that time, I paid out of pocket for a rental car. But the best part is, the car wasn't even fixed after I picked it up 4 weeks later. Not sure who is running the shop but the mechanics are not skilled. There are many more affordable, experienced mechanics. Would not recommend. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. There are plenty of other auto body shops.
We started using Haskins Automotive a few months ago and that decision has cost us thousands of dollars. They inspected a vehicle we recently purchased. We drove the car 500 miles and were then faced with $3,500 in additional repairs which had not been detected during the inspection. After spending $900 to address one of these issues, the issue was not resolved and Haskins was completely unapologetic about it. If I could give Haskins Automotive negative stars I would, that is how horrendous my experience was. I took my car there for some auto body work and made the mistake of paying out of pocket and up front for most of the service. What should have been a two week ordeal morphed into a 6 week job, without so much as a phone call communicating that there would be delays. Be careful about purchasing used cars here. The report found online regarding previous accidents may be incorrect. If you take a car here for bodywork be sure to get other estimates before trusting Haskins. :(
Worst service i have ever received! On top of that most of the employees were NOT wearing masks!!! I will not be returning to this shop again! I wonder if any of the employees has actually been sick walking around without masks on!
I had two separate experiences in the course of one weekend. 1) My front bumper needed repair so I ended up here via Geico recommendation, as they are a preferred vendor. Echoing the others who've said they were scammed by Haskins. They tried to charge me almost $1300 for unnecessary repairs. I took it to another place after family members told me Haskins must be crazy charging me that much for the repairs they claimed I needed. The new place said Haskins had completely misdiagnosed the problem and the actual repairs needed would only cost $225.
