Jim was so helpful with each step. We had a tight schedule to make. We just bought our home in Houghton lake and insurance was giving us a deadline to get the roof done. We also have solar panels and had to work around the solar company schedule. Jim assured me As soon as the solar company had removed the panels the crew was out ASAP. He honored his word. These guys delivered what they promised and then some. They did the extra to do it right; not skipping just get it done. In and out the same day, house and garage. Neat and clean. Construction of a new valley, new decking, and back side of chimney is top notch. Looks good. Pleasure to deal with from the first call to the finish. I learned real quick there wasn’t much for me to do besides stay out of the way and let them do their thing. This crew did not stop from start to finish, they were always moving. I live in Gladwin and Barnes Construction roofed my house in October 2025. They were trustworthy and did quality work at a fair price. The owner Bob Barnes personally inspected the crews work before the crew left the jobsite. I would highly recommend Barnes construction . Barnes construction re-roofer 4 houses in my neighborhood and they also re-roofed the Brook of Gladwin in October 2025.
Jim and Bob went WAY out of the way to assist us with an emergency issue to get us back on track! I can not thank them enough. I will recommend them to everyone I know. They were so kind and understanding to our situation and handle it like pros. Great job!!! I wish more companies were like them nowadays. Thanks again Barnes roofing. Fast, reliable and really fair priced! 5 stars all day and twice on Tuesday's.
I am so very happy with my new roof from Barnes Construction Jim and Bob and the whole crew made this experience so carefree. I was so impressed with the crew and how meticulous they were with their cleanup. I would highly recommend anybody looking to get a new roof to give them a call
